ABOUT THE ARTIST
Georgia Evangeline Finnis

Horses have been a constant presence throughout my life, serving as the foundation of my artistic journey. From a young age, I have been captivated by the magnificence and grandeur that horses exude—qualities I strive to capture in my work. Through the study of equine conformation and anatomy, I have developed a deep understanding of the movement, character, and essence of the horse, all of which I explore through the medium of oil painting.
In 2019, I graduated from the Royal Agricultural University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture, which not only deepened my knowledge of the countryside but also inspired me to expand my work to include a variety of country pursuits. This new direction has allowed me to explore a broader range of subjects, including livestock, equestrianism, and country sports, creating pieces that honour the animals, activities, and traditions that shape rural life.
Having lived throughout the British countryside, I draw constant inspiration from the animals and landscapes that surround me. Each piece I create is a celebration of their beauty, strength, and individuality. The journey of creating each portrait is as much about one's connection to the subject as it is about capturing their true essence.
ORIGINALS
COMMISSIONS
Whether it’s the proud stance of your prize livestock, the loyal gaze of your beloved pet, or the energy of an unforgettable moment in your rural sporting journey… a commissioned piece is not just a work of art, but a lasting tribute to the moments, animals, and passions that define you.
Meeting the Subject for Reference Photographs
Whenever possible, I prefer to meet the subject in person to take reference photographs. However, if meeting in person isn't feasible, I'm more than happy to work with high-quality photographs that you may already have.

Oil on Canvas
All of my commissions are created using oil paints on canvas, a medium that adds rich texture, depth, and timeless quality to the artwork. I work with a variety of canvas sizes, so whether you’re looking for a large statement piece or something more intimate, I can tailor the size to suit your needs and space.
Pricing and Scale
The price of each commission is dependent on several factors, including the subject matter and the scale of the canvas. Larger canvases or more complex subjects may reflect in the final price, but I’ll always discuss this with you upfront, ensuring the final agreement meets your expectations.
Deposit and Payment Terms
Once we’ve discussed your ideas and finalized the planning of your commission, I request a deposit of 30% to confirm your order. This allows me to begin the process of capturing your vision and working on the piece. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the artwork, before it is delivered or shipped.
